Meditative, sound therapeutic frequency layers mixed with a gated chant of the japaneese Lotus Sutra:
"Nam Myoho Renge Kyo" - "I dedicate my life to the mystical law of cause and effect through sound."

In 1988 the buddhist movement "Nichiren Soshu of Americ" (NSA)" was booming in NYC. In our actual weeklyBeat track re-performed and presented is their Mantra "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo". Also in 1988, two years after beeing founded, Shoko Asahara's buddhist-hinduist japaneese "Aum Shinrikyo" organization had chosen New York as their base for recruitment, before it grew up to 50.000 members in the early 1990s. Who would have guessed that seven years onward, on march 20th 1995, the apcalyptic Aum-cultists would release poisonous Sarin gas within Tokio's subway system, killing 12 people.

Cool and interesting concept, with a dark backstory. Are the chants sample-based? The gating brings a nice rhythmic flow!

Cheers for your feedback. No, I did the chanting, 1n 1988 and last sunday. The sound, including the gating of "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo", was created by Ottimo's other half, the sound eingineer.
