Oso Feo - Out of Time

By Oso Feo on January 15, 2024 12:01 am

I've really wanted to experiment with very simple delayed acid lines. This was also an exercise in not adding too many elements in a mix since I tend to be a maximalist and assume people want to hear new sounds every bar. There could probably be a bit more 303 modulation and just a tad more sound and spacial elements in the mix to make it sound pretty good.

Hope you like it and lmk what you think!

Nice breaks + acid there. Always a sexy sound.

You definitely hit the right balance.  I fall into the same category of trying to keep everything interesting when, on the other hand, listening to other minimal works keeps me interested just fine.  Reminded me of a mix of Skinny Puppy's Dig it with Stereolab's Simple Headphone Mind.  Industrial / Krautrock.

Those lovely crusty breaks!

cool track kind of sounds like prodigy

The tasteful kind of minimal—a single mood, communicated clearly.  Listened to it twice.  I remember there was a Hybrid live album where they basically jammed out like this with an acid bass + delays during a transition that ran for the length of a song—I loved that track.  Didn't know what a 303 was then, just that it had a cool atmosphere and pulse.  The flavor sfx & and breaks here are well-matched to that feeling.
