Lull

So, this week I was really wanting to record my guitar. Problem though is that I've never really used anything but trackers to make music (Sunvox, Milky Tracker, M8, etc.) -- I've just never jived with any other workflow. I was watching some videos of Sully's workflow with Renoise and he said something that really rang true to me: something along the lines of "Renoise _feels_ like hardware", since everything is so keyboard driven.

I was looking into Renoise and found that it has a feature called "autoseek", which allows a sample to be played from any point in the pattern, not at the note that triggers it. So now I've spent the week obsessed with Renoise. So, here is a little meandering shoe-gaze inspired track featuring guitar, M8 (have to use the M8 still smile ), and East Beast.

This song is also a "lullaby" for a friends new baby.

welcome to the renoise world! i loved falling into this soundscape of effervescent guitars floating amidst a deep sea of blissful vibes heart
