Homage to Aphex Twin's File-name-track-titles.

All of this was done on the Model:Cycles and it was performed live in one take.  I'm learning!  I took one of the preset songs on the machine, and saved the instruments and deleted all the notes.  Wrote a new song, but kept their nice pairing of instrument sounds.  Still all on one pattern, but I learned some stuff about dialing in chords and adjusting volume/velocity.  Had some retrigs and some conditional trigs thrown in.  I wasn't really in the mood this week, haven't been in the mood in a while, but I definitely have fun and forget about things when I'm working on music, which is the whole point of WB.  I think I flubbed the mastering on this - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  Hoppy Easter!

I'm playing a show this weekend!
Friday 4/17/20
7PM Central Time Zone USA
Please tune in!

One take—amazing.

Sounds pretty great regardless of how many takes it took, but one take is definitely impressive.  And hey, you changed your avatar!  Lookin' good!

Amazing this is all done live!
I especially love the bass!  Great sound and has some pop-hit flavor to it that I really dig

I never saw the description and first thing I thought of was “that looks like an Aphex track title”, I actually could hear some of these sounds working into his tracks.  Amazing this was all done in one take, nice playful melody on this one, I’m glad the music making is helping, can certainly hear joy in the music.

I really feel you when you say you haven't been in the mood for this but the process of making music provides a positive experience. I too have found myself really unfocussed this year but making music is still a good thing. I am not so concerned with what I am outputting just that I continue to do it.

I am having a lot of fun listening to your journey with this machine.

Great tune. Catching up on WB tracks, after the performance I was wondering if you were gonna submit a live track to WB, turns out you already had ;-)

Your live performance inspired me to try and figure out a live electronic setup as well...let's trade tips

One take!? Daaaaaannnng! I too have not been in the mood most of these days.  But then when you're in the moment of working on the tracks you forget about all those negative vibes.  It's a vicious cycle (pardon the pun) tongue That being said I found myself nodding along to the grooviness of this track.  I finally pressed the notify button so my lazy napping ass doesn't miss your next show!

Sometimes an inspiring machine can help out of a crisis.
I experienced that too.
Great stuff!
