I don't even have to say it; it's affecting everyone.  I actually had 5 shows and 1 art show booked in advance, the most I've had in my career.  I was really getting some great momentum, but now, like everything else, it's been put on hold.  I obviously think it's for the best - it's the only way we can beat this thing.  I'm trying not to get too depressed over it and do what I do best - create art!  Now I have no excuse because I'm not leaving the house for a while.  So grateful to have a home studio.  I think I'm going to start making videos and stuff since people can't come to my shows.  So there's that.

My OP-1 is on the fritz and I just ordered a replacement connection board which should hopefully do the trick.  I tried really hard not to do any OP-1 tracks or arpeggios this year, just because those are my go-tos, but things have been a little out of sorts obviously, so here they both are.  I've been listen to Disasterpeace's FEZ soundtrack, and I think I definitely ripped off the sound here.  In a good way!

Stay safe, wash your hands, stay at home, make music, don't give up!

me, bummed about cancelled shows

EDIT: Made a video with part of the track!

You've written tracks that really hit home for me (like this one).  Sorry to hear about the cancellations - the world could use more of your sound.

Making art in the face of adversity is one of the best things you can do.  It sucks how everything is getting cancelled, but it is understandable.  I just booked a trip to Hawaii in May and I'm reeeeeally hoping it doesn't get cancelled.  Digging the vibe on this track, by the way.  It's kind of trance-inducing with a positive feeling.

That's the right attitude, indeed. It sucks that things get cancelled, but there's nothing we can do now.
Stay safe in any case!
That being said: this track is beautiful! Great melancholic vibe and awesome melodies.
A beautiful counterpoint to the ugliness of the virus! heart

Hey, sorry to hear about the shows getting cancelled but sounds like you have some good creative ideas brewing. May even lead to some break throughs in new directions.  Your music is always an inspiration, so even if you can't make the shows for now, you have an audience here.

Fat fat kick is a perfect compliment to the crispy snares and tight drums. Nice mellow pacing, just what I prefer on a week like this.  Ops and Arps foreva!

This is great work, really calmed me right down which definitely what we could all use a bit of right now.

I found your email newsletter to be one of the most positively distracting things today,
and i remember smiling.

so, thank you DIEZ !!!!

Very sorry to hear about your shows, I hope you can book more when things are back to normal! heart

This is a nice bright track, I like it a lot, those snaps and claps are top notch! I can hear the FEZ OST influences in there but you made it your own, doesn't feel like a rip off at all big_smile

Very moving! Respek! Sorry about your shows sad

Very nice piece of music. Stay safe and secure.

Nice view.

Have you thought about streaming a show?

Love the sound of the lead arp in contrast to that thick bassline.  Love those almost brassy pads that come in towards the second half.  The harmonization took me back to Reznor scores.  I hope the op-1 gets fixed for ya!  Hang in there!

I hope your shows can be rescheduled after this craziness is done.

Sorry to hear about your shows...on the other hand this track is really, really good. Kinda Fezzy, but your own flavor too!

as I said on FB after watching the vid: "that beat is

Yeah those synths and the progression are giving me FEZ vibes as well. Definitely a good thing. Nicely done!

Producing music works like medicine.
But sometimes it can be destructive.
That's just the way it is when you're creative!
