Forced Deal

By orangedrink on May 1, 2016 7:10 pm

Wow!  Composed this track years ago and used a sampled drum beat that I did not have the rights to.  I was just messing around and then did that thing where you get so used to a sound, it is near impossible to think of anything else.

This is the sister track to 'Sly Deal'.  This is forced, which should be sonically obvious to the listener!  In a way, this song is the sonic equivalent of how some people see me.  I'm a beautiful, friendly, interesting person, but some people are unable to get past certain aspects of who I am *cough*gay*cough*.  To some, it is impenetrable white noise.  To others, it is a totally unique and special attribute.

Let me know what you think of the noise mix.  I want it to waver on the edge of ruining the entire song!

Damn. I totally dig this track. Everything about it. Tripped out and I love it.

the noise aspects sound really cool and the constant droning gets the idea across. really dug the drum programming on this and the mix. would be great to hear an album of your work.

This reminds me of my school days listening Linkin Park and Disturbed hahaha In don't know why! smile

Great track, thanks for your music each week! big_smile

Love the dissonant drone. Aside from the "amen" break, how would one recognize an appropriated drum pattern?

Yes.

This song is beautiful and so are you.

As always excellent!

Sweet!

That beat is killer, man! Half the way through the song, I was reading the description regarding the personal issues, and then thought "where's the noise this dude's talking? is it near the end?". Maybe I'm too much of an experimental hip hop head, but for me this sounded like a grand piano, if you know what I mean.

For what is worth, to me you are that guy with a wicked SEGA cartridge who posts dope songs every week. Other stuff is irrelevant wink

Yeah, I know it's silly but I guess the thought was that if I can't rebuild the song with a different beat, then the song must not be strong enough in other areas.  I think this new version of the piece is 10x better, so I am really happy!

THANKS!  I hope you specifically enjoyed the resolution of the high lead melody at the end of the piece.
