Pretty cool delays. Nice tones.

I do like the video a lot too. I should try to do some vids, but I won't pressure myself to do this yet.

Am I the first to comment???

I like how the video features the water reflection.  It ties in well with the guitar lines that seem to take on a liquid quality to me.  I hear you on the decluttering.  Got a lot of it to do myself, but I'm getting rid of a few big junk items tomorrow actually.  Called in junk haulers to take some crap that's been hanging around for way too long.  Lots more to do though.

I really love the guitar tones in this, your production sounds better than ever week after week. amazing track

CRAZY good guitar tone! hits like a sledge hammer and then softens into those mellow jazzy strums. I like how this video has the quality of being a very ordinary scene but at the same time, personal and intimate as we are not able to hear the conversation.

Very nice guitar work! I should also declutter, but first I've got to procrastinate. smile

That second guitar line really completes this track.  But the piano in the background gives it an extra depth too.  Yay! smile

Lovely piece of music, seems to coexist balancing on the edges of extremes: aggressive guitar, dreamlike piano, and hazy tones. Evokes Boards of Canada somehow, but is also quite obviously Orange Drink (I did pick it out of a lineup while listening at work).

Excited to hear about your journey, but am particularly excited to hear there’s a success story about decluttering, which thanks to the pandemic is something of a quest I’m on myself. Thinking about this last week I think you’re doing way better than me with every sense of decluttering, but take that as “you’re an inspiration” rather than anything else.

Beautiful chord progression, and what an emotional build. Awesome work on this one. Those surprise arps are something special too! big_smile

I like this big and confident chords, it yell your messages with no words, a beautiful story. Thank you sharing about you on the videos every week, I wish it's all good changes to you smile Good luck!

the guitartones are excellent. love it, how you play with the delaypedal. beautiful

Random notes and reactions!

I noticed the Ryu figure on your right, in the shadows. You can just see him crossing his arms, his face is hidden. Pretty cool!
The guitar tone! The chords really slap and resonate, really you got a very exciting, 3 dimensional sound with the guitar on this one, and it contrasts well with the delicate arepeggios that come in later.
The dog is being a good boy! Asking for confirmation "am i a good boy", and you gave him a nice "of course you're a good boy".

I liked the reflection on the water. The way the colors are changed, and the figures are distorted, the textures. It may seem mundane but when watched in the context of a music video, or in art form, then you take note of things and appreciate them in a different way. This is a great representation for distorted memories. Just like the reflecion in the water, they are related to the real thing but at the same time are tainted by the nature of the water (or the person), and emotions, thoughts, feelings, personality are like waves that further distort the capture of the event. And every time you revisit a memory, it's like splashing a rock in there and distorting even further, taitning it even differently. That was a very good image.

Good luck with the beat battle! Weekly beat them into submission! And good luck for the show prep (and physical conditioning!). And most importantly, good luck with your mental health journey - the most important things in our lives.

Listening to your tracks is always precious moment in the week! Thank you for the effort, the dedication, and the passion!

I sense the unburdening on your face, in your voice, in your music, in the video. you're an inspiration. you make me want to be better. heart

Really lovely guitar sounds in this one. That slap back delay with that mild overdrive creates a nice vibe. I also really like how you let the chord completely decay most times before hitting the next one. It let’s you sit with each chord nicely. Really beautiful melodies and layers around the 1:00 mark. Really nice rhythmic feel too! I barely realized there is no drums or percussion!

Sounds nice! Best of joy in your mental health journey, it sounds like a big experience coming round.

Mental health journeys are the best :-) nice work dude

Excellent guitaring. The delays are very well done.

This is a really beautiful piece - love the delay and guitar tones.
The video really reflects the feeling of processing.
It feels/sounds like clarity making it's way through the distortion.
Wishing you well as you process and as things rise to the surface.
heart Hope you feel lighter & more joy by the day.

Amazing stuff, not much to add to the above, great blend of sounds, awesome how unique and varied your tracks are each week yet maintain an orangedrink sound.

that ending in the video with the ripply water-reflection is ace! goes so well with the sound of the guitar, and this track, without beats still carries that same passion-turbo(<-my word for it, anyways) of all your work. nice one! heart

Congrats on the junk haulers - that’s a big goal for me for 2023 and I have a date with a friend tomorrow to do some decluttering.

Glad you liked the water, the visual somehow enhanced the sound of it for me.

Thanks if I remember correctly, that’s the DL4 MKii delay pedal.  Also thanks about the video - I do hope it comes across as intimate and personal, but then obscured by the distance / water.

Thank you I will take a BoC comparison any week of the year!  Also a nice feeling to be “recognizeable”.  I’ve had some good mindset breakthroughs with cluttering this year and actually my friend is coming over tomorrow for a 1.5hr declutter hanout!

Thank you!  I actually forgot how this song sounded and relistened to respond to these comments.  I actually enjoy it a lot more than when I wrote it!  LOL surprise arps, lcb???  Is it a surprise when I do it every track?  smile

Wow, thank you so kindly, that is very flattering and encouraging if I can indeed tell the story without words.  That means a lot coming from you because I think of you as an expert of instrumental storytelling!!  (you and KedBreak136 and levelcapybara and Tone Matrix and Ipaghost)

Thank you!  I think that was the DL4 MKii - and incredible pedal!

Thanks for noticing!  Ryu reminds me that “the fight(track) is everything!”

LOVELY Diez note here! heart

Beautiful notes on the water, I really need to hire you to follow me around and explain my work to everyone!  It’s weird how the memory gets lost and the thing that remains is the feeling of the memory.  The brain is such a mystery!

again: thank you thank you thank you thank you

This is such a kind and encouraging comment: the unburdening on your face - a great thing to think about.  An interesting side effect of doing these videos - we see how I feel about the work.  You are too kind in your words - you also inspire me! heart  it’s a team effort.

Thank you!  It’s a fun challenge to do things like “create a drum beat” without the drums - I’m so glad you got all these details (makes sense because you are a stellar guitarist!!)

The water made me realize that I was talking about things “rising to the surface” so we see things on the water, but if the water is still, we can see what’s below.
