Bumble Shuffle Hive Hop

My mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion is making each week tougher! Now my enjoyment only lasts once I get a good song idea, and it ends right after I'm done working on the track. Better than nothing I suppose?
I apologize to everyone whose comments I have not responded to or tracks I have yet to check out.
Since this is my own little blog/social network site - I'll tell you that I had an okay week, I'm working on getting rid of a lot of belongings (selling some old SNES/NES games!) and it is emotionally challenging because I want to hold on to everything, but I really need to get rid of the clutter (also emotional clutter) and I could use the income to help with all these studio repairs. We are still battling the bees, but making progress. I just found a huge hole to the outside in the basement, and just filled it with expansion foam. I got an adjustable desk and got it fixed up and I love it. It is not in the music studio, it is in the office, but I am spending a LOT less time online since standing makes you cognizant of how long you've been there. A few weeks ago I clocked myself at spending 10 hours sitting in front of the computer. Yikes.
This track was done 100% on the OP-1, edits and effects on Ableton, mastered with Ozone. My husband and I enjoyed a laugh once I realized that I subconsciously chose a bee motif for the synth sound. THEY'RE INSIDE MY MIND! I kind of come from the Nine Inch Nails school of melodic dissonance, so shoutouts to Trent Reznor. Last week I picked a key and scale and tried to do a key change. This time, I tried to make it as "tastefully bad" as possible. There is a hard A/B switch that maybe I could have finessed, or does it work? I had a lot of fun doing fine tune cut and paste repeat edits - haven't done that in a long time.
Diez is taking a nap outside and he looks SO CUTE
Video games I've been playing: Street Fighter V, Metal Gear Survive, Fortnite, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 Demo (so excited!) - Thinking about starting a big story type game, but not sure which (maybe Last Of Us 1)
Books I've been reading: Decluttering/Minimal lifestyle books, art books, books on how to draw portraits, a cool mystery/crime short story anthology, a romance novel that was dumb
Movies/TV: I randomly discovered the TV show "Bob Abishola" and now am watching "Mike & Molly" which features the same male actor. I watched this awesome Belgian arthouse film from 1975 called Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles (It's a name and address). If you have any interest in seeing this, please do not read the Wikipedia page or look up any descriptions because some important details are immediately spoiled. I thought it was incredible and very creative and well done. It's lauded as an seminal work in feminist film, as it was created by a female director (Chantal Akerman) and a mostly female cast. If you like abstract film and are a patient viewer, I would highly recommend it.
It feels good to talk; I feel like nobody really listens because everyone is so preoccupied with emotions/feelings. I feel like y'all are the only ones who listen because you listen to my work. (which makes me feel like a bad friend for not listening to everyone's tracks, but what are ya gonna do). I'm also trying to spend less time on social media; whenever I go on there, I see all these vacation and party pictures from people who aren't taking any precautions and it makes me feel anxious/resentful/negative. I guess I really need to just focus on art, exercise/health, and cleaning & fixing up the house! Please enjoy yet another color study of Derek Jacobi.
