Creative process here was basically working with synth (Serum) to set up a 'base tone' that runs throughout the track. Something that has a long sinusoidal pattern so that you'd be anchored. Then to get the unsettling mood, I worked to make some layer-able sounds that I could gradually introduce. Lots of working with the EQs to make them not fight each other!

Nice! I totally missed the unsettlingness, but very cool.
I imagine this is what it sounds like to travel the spacelanes with your Quantum CB Radio picking up signals as you pass dead colonies.
