Nix Album

This week's track is an all-in-the-box thing.  I was feeling something abstract, so there's a lot of processing, starts/stops, grooves that almost develop and then change.  Drum Rack of various 606 samples through Gate, filters, and Drum Buss, Impulse of hand claps through the Pedal plugin (on E-piano dirt), Operator with harmonics 1 and 9, Operator on African Bars and Marimba Wood presets (shifted into unlikely, wrong-sounding octaves), Operator on Fuzz Bass preset, another channel of Operator on a noise setting, and yet another Operator channel on the Feedrix Pad preset.  I guess when I want to get abstract, I reach for FM synths.

Sends: Auto-Filter into convolution reverb, Simple Delay, Echo on Delay Syndicate preset, and a Grain Delay.  Master channel got full-chain master, and everything except the drums got auto-pan.  Lots of send automation on the delays, too.

Title from an early alchemical name for zinc, element 30.

Appropriately zinc-like.

FM is my go-to also.

Bounces around a lot with really interesting sounds. Comes together in a cool electro jam vibe.
