Magnitude

This piece...involved a lot of tracking without much of a plan, and then editing together. (And unusually, the tracking was mostly while the kids were still awake.)  I first put together a bunch of rhythms with the FM synth kit, and put them through Echo sends. Then...not a whole lot until I tracked guitar (PureSalem Mendiola, through the Balls Effects KWB pedal, and also through the Moyo passive volume pedal). Then I thought to track more guitar (baglama-tuned Heit Deluxe, bridge pickup) for the more droney/open-string part.  Finally, I tracked the usual Epi P-J bass.  It...kinda works?

Inline effects: Drum Buss on drums, auto-pan on guitars, EQ-8 on the bass for low-frequency rolloff.

Sends: two channels of Echo, one with two Echo plugins cascaded into each other. One convolution reverb for air on the bass.

Title...because that's one property of the number 10 I've not used in the past as a title.

Very smooth and cohesive for not having a particular plan smile First thing that appeals to me is the layering of the guitars and melodic interplay between guitars and bass. Very nice! And then as I listen, I started to pick up on the cool stuff going on with the drums and echo.  There is so much space between the up front percussive sounds and the delay sounds.  Really superb effect.

I feel like I'm at the last nightclub on Earth in the year 3020 and this is the house band.

This is a really terrific song - great guitar flourishes

sounds great, lots of texture

It's the magnitude in base 10, but who's counting.

Nice chill groove.

i challenge you to a track WITH the kids on it!

lovely piece!

The atmosphere on this tune is so wide open. My US friend sent me some pics the other day of completely flat and horizon-full Wyoming countryside, your tune reminded me of that as soon as it started. The stereo spread on the guitars is neato.

Killer playing and production!

I like your bass playing and this sound of floating around with the guitars. It is so relaxing.
