Life

Back to the funk.  I'd had some rhythmic ideas with a little half-a-shuffle (this remains in the middle section), did some keys against them (removed), and had a few good ideas for bass...followed up by a last-minute bassline that ended up being the main theme. Funky guitars seemed like the inevitable next step. (Epiphone Moderne, Vox Wah and Reuss RF-01 + Wah).

Standard signal chain and processing for this, though there's a surprise little intro/outro effect by rolling off lows and highs with Auto-Filter, and putting that through Cabinet.  Unusually, I kept things mostly dry, but added in occasional sends to a convolution reverb, a delay, and an echo plugin.  Full-Chain Master on everything.

Title comes from the Hebrew word for life having a numerical value of 18. Life, folks! It's important!

Funky, ya dig. Right on.

Love the extra little reverby touches over the bass, which is also excellent. The sound of a bass guitar will be cool until the end of time.

Lively.
