Fumarole

Search continues...but might just be coming to a close.  (No offers for Director of Funk...yet.)  But this track emerged: playing a bit with rhythm patterns on a Drum Rack of single-hit trap kit samples, which I pumped through Drum Buss and a gate.  (Initially I bitcrushed it...but it sounded too peaky, so I instead maxed out the crunch on Drum Buss.)  I added some tablas and a bunch of keys...most of which I took off.  (I kept two Operator parts.)  I added an Impulse of hand-claps, and threw down some Danelectro baritone guitar (through two Auto-Filters--high pass and low-pass, with drive on the low-pass).  I did track bass...but it didn't have the same energy the baritone line did, and the baritone's intonation is off just enough to sound bad against the bass.  So the bass parts came out.

Sends: two Echo channels and a convolution reverb with auto-filter in front (to roll off lows) and give atmosphere.   The mixdown got full-chain master, and a lot of things got auto-pan.

Title from volcanic fumaroles, a source of sulfur (element 16).

I like that delay and pan effects you got going on. Down and dirty bass and percussion! Sounds like back in the day when a trap kit, bass, and Rhodes piano was all you needed to get trashy.

CEO of Funk, for sure. Bass rules!

Maybe floor manager of funk. Try adding some piano to it, just make it play chords, two eights on the off-beat should work.

Love that you kept it stripped back... love the echoey beeps that come in and visit.... cOoL !

very cool effects!
