Engage

I played with some drum machine patterns in Live for repetitive listening while working, added a few channels of Live's Operator (clean triangle-wave organ and acid bass), and then figured what the heck, let's do Moog guitar through the EHX Big Muff.  With the tone control engaged and set at 50%, it's that classic violin-sustain tone, made even more sustain-y with the Moog.

Nice.  The beat pattern is dope and the mix sounds great on this!

This makes me really jealous of all you folks on here that can actually play live instruments.

Thanks!  I didn't work quite as hard on this one as I have on some previous weeks; it just kind of came together.  I didn't do too much special to the mix, just set levels 70-80% for each track, and down a touch for the master.  Some stuff got a bit of simple delay send (I might not even have changed delay settings from the default) and a slathering of Cathedral reverb...except for the bass range stuff, which got less.  A bit of auto-pan for variety on the Impulse channels as well.  I guess it sounded good enough that I didn't think to fiddle with it from there.

Great feel to the track. The beat is nice and I like when the bass synth comes in at about 1/4. Well done!
