Ejection Day

By onezero on November 8, 2020 11:42 pm

A funky drum part came to mind, and I got it down in Ableton's 32 Pad Kit Special. As I built up some variations, they sounded better squashed and overdriven...and suggested an overall funky approach. There's a Drum Rack of handclaps, two tracks of PureSalem Mendiola (bridge pickup + Balls Effects KWB + Vox Wah, and then another clean with the neck pickup and Vox Wah...plus some Auto-Filter), and finally Epiphone bass (usual EQ-8 bass rolloff, plus Cabinet 4x10 bass simulation).

Sends: one room-sized convolution reverb, and one delay. Multi-band compression on the output.

Love the bass tone on this, very boisterous.

That drum beat is indeed very funky! And cool bass lines to complement it. This sounds great.
