Connecting Paths

By onezero on May 31, 2020 8:37 pm

I'd been fiddling a bit with some syncopated drum patterns, but this week I was listening to a lot of Arthur Russell's World of Echo, and I ended up tracking a lot of bass with slapback echo to try to incorporate some of that feeling. Eventually I brought the drums back in.  At the last minute, I started hearing some Rhodes on this, so...there's a Rhodes line (via Ableton's Electric).

Instruments: Drum Rack (64-pad rock kit with Drum Buss), Epiphone 80s P-J bass (two tracks, each with different low-end rolloff with EQ-8), and Electric (MkI2 crunchy piano).

Sends: one convolution reverb, one delay, and one Echo. There's another return channel of Echo I didn't end up using.  Full-Chain Master on the output.

The title comes from the 22 connecting paths between the Sefirot.

That is really cool about the Sefirot/Kabbalah

I could see a live band doing this in a big epic, Explosions In The Sky kind of way.  Nice fade out

Really nice techy-ambient vibe heart Thanks for the great wikipedia article, I feel a binge coming on.

Really great mood here, the bass works just fine. I like the slow build it has, beautiful piece of music.
