Apophenia

Kind of a reactive-groove piece, tracked without a lot of premeditation, but it required a few hours of wrestling during the editing/arrangement phases. I started with a drum rack of Operator drum sounds I'd been making, added (and removed) some keyboards, and tracked three different sets of snippets with the Res-O-Glas guitar (two through Balls Effects KWB and Vox Wah, and one just through Vox Wah and Moyo volume pedal for atmosphere). I didn't do much wah modulation while playing, as a way of not relying on a familiar move.  Finally, I tracked the usual Epi P-J bass.

Effects: Drum Rack got Drum Buss and an automated send to a simple Delay return channel. Relatively clean guitar got Auto-Filter with drive, while the atmospheric guitar got a send channel of two different cascaded echo plugins.  Everything got some send to a room-sized convolution reverb for some air, and the mix got Full-Chain Master.

Title from the condition of seeing coincidence and connection between things, even when there is none--kind of the opposite of last week, and the taxonomy of the 23 enigma.

Funky.

oh my word I think I have Apophenia...

when i was little there was a shape of Lady Elaine from Mr. Rogers in the plaster that freaked me out cause her puppet creep-ed me out...

this track however is very chill & i see no faces in it smile

I love the round bass sound and the guitar tones. The question/answer of the right and left guitar is nice. This is funky.

Yo... really feeling those guitar ie vibes
