Antigone

By onezero on June 19, 2022 11:54 pm

With kids' birthdays and father's day weekend...I still got a bit of composing time here. Unusually, I started with drums and (fake Ableton MIDI) vibraphone. That gave me something to respond to with bass, and finally I did a couple quick tracks of guitar. And here we are.

Drums: Ableton 64 Pad Kit Jazz with some Max Humanizer. Vibraphone: Ableton Collision (Vibes Modulated)

Bass: 80s Epiphone Embassy II on the P pickup, Ableton EQ-8 low-end rolloff

Guitar: PureSalem Mendiola, on bridge pickup (rhythm) and both pickups (lead).

Sends: one Delay and one convolution reverb.

Title comes from Sophocles having written Antigone in 442 BCE.

pretty cool! makes me think of Rimworld smile it's one of these tracks you can listen to on repeat forever and it doesn't get annoying because it's so nondescript. nice drums and vibra and guitars and cool bass!

Really laid back, deep, and grooving. The drum beat feels great alongside the bass, the vibraphones and guitar add a nice atmosphere to the track.

you are a super dad!  happy father's day!

sending love & hugs to you all

the lightness of the piece feels very celebratory - the vibraphone is a really nice touch

Mellow. We could all use more mellow.
