SURF BRK TRIP CHOON - LSDJ/nanoloop/guitar

By ONE HIT KILL on February 15, 2026 10:40 am

There is much to explore here mixing surf, dnb breakbeats, guitar and chiptune. It's a recipe I've "resorted to" a few times. I suppose to some extent my weekly beats has become exploring ideas for an eventual sequel to my guitarra y gameboy album I made when I was a total chiptune noob a few years ago.

This track was sort of inevitable, I've thrashing monster bash pinball lately and it has a real rockabilly surf n roll type sound track that has been infectious I had to write a nanoloop bass line inspired by it. Tempo wise, surf and dnb can mix pretty easy.

I have the softest of spots for surf, so this is exciting news for me

Amazing how much breakbeats and a surf beat share in common, great crossover

Keen for some more guitarra y gameboy

Goddamn, surf guitar and chiptune is like chocolate and peanut butter…this sounds great! Awesome licks on the guitar as well!

This is amazing! I had no idea this genre existed in the world until today and it works so well! That guitar line at 1:30ish is really dope

Breakin’ at the Beach! Hangin’ ten on the AMEN! Sick combo dude!

This has the coolest vibe. Guitar is tasty and the cronch drums really complement everything. Dope.

Surf rock and gameboys is a vastly underexplored genre! There's plenty of gold to mine there and boy oh boy it looks like you're hitting the jackpot.
