Project 15

By OleJazzer on April 21, 2024 9:39 pm

This is a project I put together while I’m trying to learn how to use the software I have on my iPad. I still have to take it over to my studio computer in order to put it together properly, but I’m still avoiding that as much as possible, which means the mix seems a little off to a lot off when I get it back to Rendering. It sounds much better in the iPad and in the studio computer that it does after it’s been put through the bounce Part of everything. I’m a little disconnected today so I’m not making much sense. Hopefully it makes enough sense though.

liked the choral voice part
this reminds me of the Myst video game for some reason

Thank you. I’ve never played the  Myst video game. I remember seeing it advertised, but I was overseas at the time and a lot of things that were going on in the states were not really with us overseas was bigger then  I think. I could be wrong, but I remember seeing the book face of the box in an advertisement somewhere magazine or something.

Thank you for your comment because I’m really enjoying the vocal parts too. I’m trying to learn how to use standard compositional techniques in my DAW. What was easy in finale is not quite as easy in Apple’s logic Pro or reaper

Your comment about Myst had me curious so I looked up the soundtrack. I can see where there would be something to remind you of that. I also saw that it was released in 1993 and I was definitely not in the states then I was really not into video games at the time. It was another year before my son was old enough to, get interested.

i'm glad you found a commonality!  i loved that soundtrack so it was a big compliment from me smile
