8 String Museing

By OleJazzer on June 26, 2022 9:18 pm

This piece is just me noodling around on my 8 string. I bought an 8 string this year after my wife of almost 44 years passed away. It was something we had discussed in passing for after my studio upgrade. Both have happened. This is the sort of piece I provide for meditation groups and they seem to like it a lot. Anyway it is the first thing I've released since her death in January of this year.

Condolences for the loss, sorry to hear(44 years is huge! i can't imagine... mad respect to such a deep relationship) heart

I love all the interplay of the higher range with the bass range, and then the way those finger-trickly bits roll over the noise-floor, making the noise-gate do some light ducking to add this interesting rhythm underneath adds such a tasty texture to it all. cool noodlez!

Thanks. It’s easy for me to get lost in  this sort of ‘stream of consciousness’ thing. I really like the 8-string.
