No reservations

A song of complaint and warning song to those wishing to see fado in Portugal. Our take on traditional fado. Backstory: we reserved a table for a fado performance in Lisbon only to find out that reservations do not necessarily mean that you will have a table at a fado restaurant, or even that you'll have standing room. A dramatic response to a dramatic situation
Oh and a quick travellers tip: for fado, get there early and don't book
Lyrics:
No reservations
Although you said you'd made one
No reservations
Although you said you'd made one
On your facebook
We sent you messages
And you replied in the affirmative
But yet...
When we arrived
You'd filled the tables
We stood outside
Out in the rain
Oh what a shame...
Still we couldn't even complain
Your fado drowned out all of our wails
As you shut the door
We'll take our grievances to other forums
To Lonely Planet and Trip Adviser
If you don't take reservations
Then simply say it
Don't just ignore us
As we are drowning in the rain
Oh fado, oh fado
You caused us so much pain
