Black Ice

The EVH 5150 series is super popular, but Im honestly not a fan, got the 100w stealth super cheap, and never really had a good time with it. But lots of Black Metal bands use it for the cold, frosty black metal tone, so whacked together this 2nd wave Norwegian knock off.

To me it has a darkness inherent that I spent way too long trying to combat, where as the original 5150/6505 circuit I get a tone with in seconds usually. But as usual, others seem to get a good sound, so Its just me being weird again.

2nd wave BM can be a bit of fun to write, and for a change I didn't lose focus on keeping it stylistically coherent. Lots of full major bar chords, but moving them in close intervals. Funny how major chords can be used for evil lol. Then lots of hyper single note lines, usually in phrgian, and don't forget the epic mid pace ending with harmony layers for extra pompousness.

Really wanted to do the organ at the start, but I'm all ahead of the beat rushing, and my organ patch I can't edit the attack, so it's behind the beat. Oh well.
