Tyranny of the Cloud

By NWSPR on May 27, 2018 10:35 pm

This one is more deep playing with the sounds of the Moog Grandmother semi-modular with samples and piano added. Just goofing around with lots of sounds while at the beach for Memorial Day weekend throwing the kids in the cold ocean and eating funnel cakes. Hope your week is going well!

Sounds like a fun Memorial Day and this track seems to carry on that sense of fun.  The bits of what sound like female vocals add a nice little touch.  Are those samples?

Great range of sounds, I love the vocals that come in halfway heart The piano arrangement is really cool too. Very nice man!

So bassy and strong! Thoroughly enjoyed this one big_smile

That darn cloud.

Well done.

A festive parade in my head.

I laughed WAY too hard at that.  Wow, that Moog sounds so......juicy.  The drums are tyrannical!

(also thanks for your shirt order!  I didn't know who it was at first but now I know!)

Forgot to mention the vocal sample is so strangely perfect!  Love it.

man that part withe piano and the fem voice is my favorite...also the drums in this part are hell cool!

No,that's me singing! just kidding. They're samples lifted from the web from two ladies that have most likely never met but mixed together.

Thanks! I wanted a jarring transition to a different vibe halfway thru like some dub I've heard where the DJ just switches.

Yeah, I am enjoying the Moog grandmother.  It is moodier than other keyboards I have but also some cool shit like the noise generator and spring reverb.

Love the shirt!!

Thanks! It was very simple stuff but worked out rhythmically just having the piano and bass hits against the drums.
