Text to Speech

This track is composed on software I wrote this week after reading a recent interview with Brian Eno where he described his use of text to speech software. I quickly wrote my software to randomly select from libraries of the most common nouns, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, etc. and construct phrases. The controls allow me to change speech characteristics, manipulate music samples and create primitive sequences.
Not a great sounding piece but I was pretty psyched about the ideas in the software and the possibility of refining this into a live performance tool.
The video shows how this track was generated... it's rough, handheld from my phone. Unfortunately I was holding the phone and playing the sliders on the software to manipulate text and samples but it's cropped out. Need a tripod!
