Swing March Rock

By NWSPR on September 9, 2012 11:53 pm

This week I composed my entire track on a Casio VL-Tone.  It is a noisy little beast from the early 80s with calculator buttons and "unique" pcm noise rhythms (Swing, March, Rock, Bossanova, etc...).  I live played this through some effects.  Otherwise it is 100% VL-Tone sounds with some latency due to the calculator button style keyboard.  I had been wanting to do a full on VL-Tone track for a while.  I think I got it out of my system and maybe will leave it on the shelf for a few months!

Great little track dude. And NWSPR stands for that? Amazing!

Pretty groovy little noisemaker you got there. Well done.

This is fucking wicked. Sounds 80s as fuck!

Great track using only the casiotone!

hehe cute wink casio ftw!

Oh I love those things.
You should open it up and place your hand on some of the resistors (lots of fun with circuit impedance) big_smile

Love the speed-up heavier sound towards the end !

Oh man, this is great, fantastic analogue sounds!

its like the best elevator music as you ascend into this magical awesome land..and as you succumb into the magical awesomeness of this land suddenly, POOF, the elevator is a rollercoaster! I love it.

Dude listening to this reminded me that i have a super old synth somewhere!! THANK YOU
