Sunday in the Park

By NWSPR on November 22, 2020 11:42 pm

And that is just what I did today.  All day in Central Park visiting my sister and family that I haven't seen in  10 months.  Social distancing safely outside.

This week I played around with some orchestral patches in Logic, but I didn't spend as much time on this as I would have liked.  Needs vocals or something.

I'm totally burned out at this point.  Worse than 2018.  Hoping to drag my ass across the finish line smile

Love it man, very upbeat.  Nice work on all the strings and horns.  It can be very difficult to not make that stuff sound lame.  Sounds great with the synths.

I think vocals could definitely work with this one, but it still captures that hanging out in a park with loved ones feel.  Hang in there... only a few weeks to go.  You can definitely make it.  The light at the end of the tunnel is visible!

It's a slightly different vibe than your other tracks. I like how you have this strong basis with a simple beat and the insistent bass but on top of that you have these orchestra layers. Very nice! The ending is a bit abrupt though?

Yes, it sounds like this track miss some bars...

This a hopeful uplifting Sunday in the part. Seems a good soundtrack for seeing loved ones after 10 months!. Enjoy, here's to being close the finish line. I hear you on the burn out.

These synths are sick

this is very epic and has a very nice Neu/La Dusseldorf vibe to it (=equals positive musical power to me). Regarding your comments about the WB this year, I have to say my feelings are also like that... The beginning was nice and productive, but somehow the focus has been very hard to keep as the time goes by. I thought that the one possibly positive effect of covid thing would probably be the ability to spend more time with the machines, but actually it didn´t go like that. The day job has been very demanding here and the energy seems to have gone to other, more pressing things. But I will fight to the end, just a few weeks to go. If not else, I will send two minutes of sine wave sound for my last contribution this year....

I can feel those traveling through the city vibes with the pace of the track.  The strings and synths have a bit of a Holiday feel to them as well.  Nice work!  Totally feel ya on the burned outness.  Can not wait for this year to be ova!

This has a cheery vibe, akin to how I imagine your visit was.

I am also 100% burnt out.  I'm phoning in the whole year, it feels like.

I have a music job in January, which I'm excited about, but I hope not to be so............dead inside about making music.
