Space 999

By NWSPR on December 2, 2018 11:57 pm

Just like Space 1999 but dropping the the one signifying a new wave emergency as common mode rejection ratio drops to absolute zero and funk contaminates cold matter chamber producing 4/4 time dilation. The results are unpredictable.

I was having fun with this one and could have kept going but two minutes to week 48 and it's a hard stop.  Hope you are well and see you in the comments.

And Happy first night of Hanukkah. In a rush... got latkes to make.

Happy Hanukkah!!

Like your techno action here combined with the rock.  Great mix.

That hook, holy moly.  So catchy. Also gotta shout out the bass, perfect in that 80's way

Very festive. Latkes and blintzes, mmmmm....

Funky, driven and full of surprises! I love how you take those quick pauses just to re-ignite the compo right away with even more energy and synth epicness! An instant new-wave classic! NWSPR channeling the power of 4 suns!

Super upbeat and fun.  Ringing in Hanukkah in style.

This sounds quite irresistible... has a certain early 80´s european vibe that I really like. The punchy bass sound works great with the filtering. I also love those arpeggios in the C-part (two thirds in).

It's also the interstellar highway where all the cool kids hang out.

Good latkes making music I would think ... have not made them, but have enjoyed the consuming of them! Great hook, like the percussive parts, funky bass. Propulsive. Let the funk contaminate!

Thanks! I think this was my best bass mix of the year in terms of blending, level and not over playing.

Yeah, I put on a couple of pounds this week. Next stop Christmas, because my wife's Catholic so we do both. Lucky for the kids smile

Thanks! I think I may have had one or two breaks too many but it does help liven up the comp.

Thanks! Yes very 80s.  The disjointed horn riffs call back to a cheesy auto rhythm I had on a Casio keyboard in the 90s. I was very happy with the bass sound. I think one of the best bass recordings I did this year... so maybe I learned something smile

Ah, I guess I was never invited sad But I can picture the route 999 sign floating in space like something out of Futurama.

Definitely good latke jam music. Thanks for listening!

Happy Hanukkah!

lovely piece!

Love the pace of this with the drums and synths.  Especially that main chorus section.  Nice!
