Reflector Man Blues

By NWSPR on February 2, 2020 11:55 pm

This week I'm sticking with virtual synths for efficiency.  Slowing down the tempo and playing with some different arrangements of orchestral instruments and synthesizers.  Put in a bit of a Kraftwerk riff as the song, in my mind is about people being replaced by automation.  The first movement is kind of a working mans blues then slaps into a retro mechanical feel.  Hope you enjoy it... a bit lacking in the mastering dept but had a lot of fun playing it.

See you in the comments!

Awesome man, getting a Pictures at an Exhibition vibe at the beginning, love this.  Also, what the shit is super glitchy bass tone that comes in near the end?  I cant even begin to think of how to make something like that.

Nice evolution and feels quite different by the end.  I agree that tone at the end is super sick.

Cool track! It evolved in an interesting way.

Woa this is great, the synthwork is nicely intricate with those layers.

So many cool ideas in here, tied together beautifully smile

amazing synth tones, and drums as well. really great work!

coll stuff, sounds interestingly old and new at the same time. The brass band at the start is a good idea. A sort of story of the industrial revolution in one track. Robot workers of the world, unite! smile

The brass/xylophone combo in the intro is perfect! What I love the most is that soaring lead melody, it is really beautiful both in tone and composition heart

Ooh, very nice sounds, and great all around track. That intro brass action grabbed me just right ... couldn't wait to hear where it would go, then pleased when it took right to place for doing slow motion robot moves!

Love the arrangement. The drums are a great fit for this song.

Great selection of sounds. Great lead again

Great stuff all over, the EPs are powerful, the strings are ominous and the synths are giving it what-for.

this piece is super fun!  big smiles when the drums kicked in!  the vox effect is really cool!

I dig that brass intro.

First few seconds in: Wow this brass section feels so full and bright, i like it.

When the drums kick in:  ....OH SHIT GODDAYUUM
