Please Standby

By NWSPR on January 30, 2022 11:58 pm

Only had a few hours today so I continued work on the riff I had placed in the outro of last weeks track.  This has guitar, analog and digital synths.  It's a bit too repetitive and not breaking new ground... but please standby.

We had a massive snow storm that messed up my weekend play time.  I was in upstate NY Friday evening (up in Oneonta, NY) and was going to try and beat the storm back to Brooklyn. My car was slipping and sliding down the mountain roads, I saw an SUV updside down on the side of the road.  Nobody was hurt and the car was strangley undamaged.  The windows weren't even shattered.  So long story short, I decided against trying to make it home until today.

Hope everyone is warm and snug.

Standing by... but it's hard not to break out in a dance party to this.  Fun groove.

mmmm that's some synthy goodness right there.  Love that main riff, such jam.  Glad you made it home okay!

Listening to your track after having read the description, this prompts images of an epic travel through a snowstorm and at some point the truck takes off and starts flying through purple and blue sky (the synth does that to me). Head bopping track!

I hereby second this comment haha

When you have the right 4 chords it is all good to repeat them. smile

This sounds massive man. Love the first synth line. Then once you are hooked, you just want to dance.

Big sounds there! Pretty amazing for a few hours work.  Snow storms are not even a consideration where I live (I don't think it's ever snowed?!!)  What a wild situation to find yourself in :-o

Great to hear you back doing WB!

Tasty. This is soundtrack for video game where you have to get home through slippery roads and blinding snow pixels. Adventure! I have only had to drive very short distances in snow this year thankfully. This song should have been playing in the car for sure.

Again very cinematic and positively relentless. Could be theme tune for 80´s styled crime sci-fi series smile In my mind i sort of expect a couple of orchestra stabs/hits here and there! Great track!

This is an epic synthgroove within an all time classic RockTheme riff. It is getting better and better as I put the repeat button. Very well done.

Really nice fusion of synthwave and rock. Great stuff

Loving the synth rock feel of this with the leads and pulsing bass.  The bassline is super catchy especially when it gets soloed out.

This is good waiting music though, would never not get me hyped

WOW glad you are safe.  That is really scary.

Interesting how you called it please standby - the title makes me really anticipate something major - like the select screen of a fighting game smile
