Phaseshifter - Robot Mix

The Robots are pulling out all the new wave stops for this week. Most everything in my tiny studio utilized including several tracks of Casio VL-Tone layered over arp line from the Novation K-Station and melodic monotone synth lines from the Yamaha CS-5 and Radio Shack Concertmate. Also some additional support from the Akai Miniak for swells and "tinkly" sounds. Roland 505 drums mixed with layered, distorted drum loops. And of course my trusty Gibson "Ripper" bass guitar. The synthy horn lines at the end are really inspired by the Human League's "Being Boiled" from Tavelogue and also the electronic horns used by the band "Landscape".
Here's what my studio looks like this morning upon uploading this week's track. Actually much neater than it usually is. It is standing room only, in this tiny robot cave in Brooklyn.
Hope you enjoy this... had a lot of fun working with it this week and look forward to listening to everyone's new stuff tonight!
