Omega Man Revisited

This is basically a sound check or dry run while testing my Tascam 16x08 digital input. Drums played live on a Roland electronic kit by Curtis Smith while I played bass.  We recorded 6 tracks live play as a test run to check levels and recording quality. I then went back in and put down some trash guitar and keyboards but mainly played around with a Roland Aira VT-3 voice processor to shift pitches while singing. The only good thing about the VT-3 are the pitch sliders. The recording quality from the Tascam into Logic is pretty decent.  Would highly recommend it for anyone looking to multitrack with several inputs (aka live musicians, band set up).

Excelent rock; vocals really add the frosting.

this is fantastic.  the drums and bass do indeed sound great.

this sounds really great, love the interplay between drums and bass

dude this sounds awesome!   this would be a blast to play live.  love the vocal pitch shifts,  nice work

Didn't you used to use TTS?

Yes, yes I did (do). I find it perversely pleasing to make machines sing our songs and say human things

Thanks! Yeah, using the pitch slider on the VT-3 is a blast

Thanks, its very organic playing bass along with Curtis.  We've been playing together for years.

Thanks love my synths but always fun to play the old tactile control surfaces to produce vibrations from a stick with wire cables

Thanks! Much appreciated... I am squeamish about doing vocals but WB is a good place to indulge and push the comfort level a bit

Definetely that would be cool!

Is really the VT3 that bad? Here in Spain it could be seen around 125-150 euros, along with some of the Aira line.

The early baritone serious voice in the begining reminded me of 90s R.E.M.

Really like the energy and the live vibe
