Chrome Scorpions

By NWSPR on April 10, 2022 11:58 pm

I don't know... just wanted something that sounded super new wave. So Chrome Scorpions. Maybe they have laser beams as well. The guitar chord riffs were introduced at the end of last weeks tracks and refined for this week.  Lots of guitars and synths.

On a completely different note, I just got back from two days at Legoland NY for my son's birthday.  My ears are still ringing from all the screaming kids, but it was very cool.  The most fun was building a Lego "The Batman" bat mobile and a Star Wars Imperial Probe Droid.  Actually my son built them while I watched but he let me play with them. Hope you are all having a "bricktastick" week.  They say that everywhere you go in Legoland.

This is new wave AF -- and this is excellent.

I think you have nailed 100% the aesthetic of that 80ies period of music. The chemistry of sharp guitars, synth and the bass is just right. Awesome work.

Ha Ha, Chrome Scorpions is perfect for this.  I can completely see that mental image.  There are 100% for sure laser beams involved.  And I feel the music video should involve some sort of Knight Rider-ish car in some capacity, jut because.  The changeups in this are really nice as well.  It hits a few different moods during its run.

This is so fun and the esthetic is immaculate. heart

10/10 named perfectly.

loving the lead. a few parts where I wasn't sure if it was a synth, a guitar or both. this is a good mystery, engaged all the way through.

Slick, the weird wobbles may need to get some getting used to though.

These Chrome Scorpions definitely have their own karate dojo where they kick ass to this song.  Love the lead.

What a wonderful title. Very appropriate with the heavy guitar riff, the guitar lead and the laser synth. The section from 2:06 is super cool before the synth kicks back in - I really like the rhythm there, the kick and pulse. I guess the summary is that we need more tracks named after scorpions.

Legoland sounds fun. I am not sure "a brickstatic week" is a good thing though.

Legoland sounds like a a good time, I'm jelly. With the exception of screaming kids, my condolences tongue

This is awesome!  Love the beat and guitar/synths especially how it breaks down at 2:05 ohhhh yeah. Giving me 80s movie montage vibes of the hero lacing up and facing the "enemy".

WOO, big big fist pumping new wave energy, such good chords and that guitar riff, I'm in. Melody stuck in the head now. Great title too, perfect. I briefly had band called Chrome Cobra. Anything Chrome animal just feels bad ass, like this song.

Those guitar chords were fresh in memory, and once again it proves it’s a catchy progression made for replays. I like the raw sound here, both the guitars and the synths, as it’s something I usually prefer to the slicker «newer» waves out there. The title is the icing of the cake and completes the picture, with or without lasers.
