Black Friday

Happy Thanks Giving to the American Beaters... A gritty post-consumer new wave anthem for the day after.  Remember - Supplies are limited and demand is high.  **Low low prices** !!Avoid Family and Eye Contact!!

And to my Australian friends, I just watched some movie on Netflix last night from 2010 about Australia being invaded and occupied by an ambiguously Asian army.  The ending title sequence may have been the best part... It was kind of like an Australian "Red Dawn" but without a Patrick Swayze.  Just curious if anyone saw this movie but me?  I couldn't take it seriously but was somehow mesmerized at the premise. Can you imagine this happening in any reality?  There was no mention of any other countries stepping in and saying "hey, did you notice Australia got invaded?  Should we maybe do something?"

Nice track! The movie would have been "Tomorrow When the War Began"; the books are excellent. The movie did a fairly good job of the story, but was let down a bit by the acting. But our film industry ain't Hollywood, so I think it was awesome.

Sounds like a redneck's dream, the movie, that is.

Love this track, nice and happy...Happy Thanksgiving : )

nice melody

Snazzy track this is. I was watching some Black Friday videos, i cant help but feel depressed.

Ah yeah, Tomorrow When The War Began. I have yet to see it myself actually. But y'know if you ask any bogan (equivalent to the redneck) here they would tell you its already been invaded by asians, or middle eastern folks. Ah, uneducated bigotry. If you enjoy australian films then may i recommend Snowtown, Animal Kingdom, Samson And Delilah, Romper Stomper The Castle and...uh, Babe...I also assume we all know Mad Max already

sorry

Romper Stomper, The Castle

Barge arse.  Redub of a 70's series done in the late 80's.  It's AU B-Grade at it's best.  Nice boppy lil tune though.

Seen Romper Stomper, but need to check out TWTWB and others smile This track is brilliant. You were asking about Nitro, here's another Op-1 owner demoing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJYHvBXZhb8.

Btw Black Friday seems to be spilling over into the Swedish markets these days too...KONSUMERA MERA!

Hi Guys, you are right... the title was "Tomorrow When the War Began".  I didn't realize it was a series of books.  What I am curious about is the ending of the movie was not really an ending but almost a beginning of something else.  I didn't know if this was a lead in to a television series or another movie.  I'll look it up and was curious also if this was widely distributed.  It is the first time I heard of it but the good thing about Netflix is that you see a lot of films produced outside of the US market which is great.

What drove me a bit crazy about is the premise that a large industrialized modern country like the U.S. (in the case of Red Dawn) or Australia in the case of this movie, can be invaded and occupied in the 21st century. There is no mention of what the U.S., U.K., Canada, or the rest of the world is doing while Australia is under invasion.  That is probably covered in the books so I'll check it out.

Mad Max and Romper Stomper are of course classics here.  looking forward to checking out these other recommendations.

You should give the "Tomorrow when the war began" books a read. Loving this track BTW, your stuff always lifts the spirits on a monday morning smile

Everything works together so well! i'm lovin' this!
