Bathing the Pigs

Hey Folks, it's my last week of crunch time for the Film Festival that opens Monday 9/14 and runs through the 20th.  After that I can breathe a bit easier.  We're recording panels with some filmmakers and producing a series called the Sixth Borough with a new episode each night.  Fun starts tomorrow at: https://brooklynscififilmfest.com/

So, still no time for music so I posted this hog wash.  One hour of synth jam was just what I needed before going back to festival work. It's a live jam on the Grandmother and Model D with some layering (doubling) via Midi.  It's one pass after three attempts and it came out pretty decent even if it is limited and monotonous.

Probably the most interesting tidbit is that the Grandmother supplied the arps with that awesome Moog sound.  I had the hold button on so I didn't need to hold the chord on the keys and used the pitch bend wheel for all the changes while playing on the Model D and doubling everything via layers of midi synths.

One more week and I'm done until next year.  Be well, see you soon!

Very nice ambiance, it sounds very cinematic. I like those synths... smile

Oh that arp is awesome. It has indeed a very Moog like sound, great tone, great texture, it just is so good.

Good luck with the last lap of the film festival!

It has a hypnotic effect and is fun to zone out to.  Plus the moog just sounds awesome.

LOLZ hog wash, bathing the pigs, I see what you did there.

arp is heavenly.  very bacony.  makes me oink in delight.  the detuning is the key to my heart.

Very much a Blade Runner vibe here! Really you can´t go wrong with those moogs. Awesome stuff... especially regarding your busy schedule. Nice to hear this more spontaneous approach ending with great results.

Digging the bass arp on this one.  Very satisfying when you start cranking knobs, that Grandmother sounds so awesome.  I've really been enjoying hear it.
