I wasn't sure I had something until Friday, I digged the bass but nothing else seemed to fit. Finally playing with the scales in the M8 I liked how it sounded with Lydian. I used a newly acquired Roland S-1 to record the arpeggios as MIDI, this was fun, and somehow unblocked the process.

I love both Lydian and the Roland S-1 so I was looking forward to this and it didn't disapoint.

Like like how you jump to double time.

This has a really early 80's early electro vibe. I could imagine some extremely arch synth duo having this as a backing track on TV in 1981.

Great modulated lead/bass sound (especially that low bit that begins each section)! I like how the song builds. This is the kind of analogue texture I really love!

Glad you liked it, thanks. Yes now that I listen to it again, the beginning is a little bit Italo.

Thank you, I am concerned I always use the same arrangement structure, but hey I need to finish a song per week ๐Ÿ˜…

I get that - Personally I only have one song in me, I just dress it up with different sounds ๐Ÿซ
But I keep telling myself that AC/DC also only have one song, and they rock. So I think both of us are doing fine!! ๐Ÿคฃ

For real though, that paranoia about whether or not youโ€™re in a rut will probably always be there, and at least you know about it! It can free you to look the paranoia right in the face and deliberately break stuff to see what happens.

LOL, that's a great way to see it, and being a Ramones fan I totally get it ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yes I think it is good to be aware of where you can improve to eventually tackle that. But I also don't want to take this as "work" but as play, do I don't need to care that much if I never get there. Thanks a lot.
