Damn I missed last week, I dont feel too good about that, but I can't give up.
I was working on a silly game project in which you jump to music, somewhat similar to necrodancer minus the frustration/challange of that game. I had this idea of making it about centered all around electronic music culture from drum programming to funktion one's and everything in between, and getting player "in trance".
I most likely won't finish the project but I just felt the urge to make a loop for fun then I started working on dynamic music where different layers depending on what's happening during that movement. I experimented a bit with adding distortion when player is missing a lot of beats.
Then I cameback to that loop, and started expanding to different patterns and it turned out to be a small beat with lots of distortion and nasty 808.
