Weekly Beats is definitely getting more difficult for me. I feel like I’m running out of ideas.

This one is pretty cool but yeah maybe adopt an entirely different methodology or alter your technique, even record a different instrument or go to someone's house for a collab. I have to take a lot of angles on it to be able to go the whole year! I only did it once and I've been doing it every year

Really digging the sounds, you can definitely do some exploring with them
Also, if you need more inspiration, you can listen to everyone else, you're bound to find something

Really fun ideas and sounds here. 1:42 is soooo cool, I really like how this delineates the two sections, and the abrupt end works great.

Ideas are hard >.> adding to what others have said, I find it helpful to give myself clear constraints or add a significant change to my typical approach - like a weird guitar tuning, odd time signature, or completely different sounds than I'm used to using. Also, I've written a lot of songs that all kind of sound the same and that's okay, I can still learn from the process and iterate over time.

Thanks for the advice, guys! I picked a different device this last week and felt a bit inspired. Finally getting around to listening to this week’s submissions and already picking up on some new ideas and techniques. This community is great.
