Not in texas anymore, and it was interior hot-water pex pipe... just coincidence that it wore a hole in it night after a deep freeze.
But yea I kept trying to wrap it with sealer, and the water just kept scooting down the pipe XD

Also pro-tip... make sure when repairing pex that you get the crimp tool for the crimps and clamp tool for the clamps... I originally started off with a crimp tool and clamps and they are not compatible! :]

ah - i haven't worked with pex yet but i am intrigued by it's flexibility - it's supposed to do better in extreme weather too generally eh?  what a bummer with the pipe wearing out - plumbing issues never happen when it's just like a good chill time for them to happen
