FLYING SLOWLY

By Nickmaynard on February 23, 2014 11:26 pm

for this week i worked on my submission for week 4 more. added a few sections, some guitars, and A WHOLE LOT OF JUNO 106

kind of coming together!

You music is always so impressively clean. Beautiful, soaring melodies, deserves to be at the end of an 80's movie, when the future is full of new possibilities.

80s heartbreak montage, the main character finds herself amongst a turmoil of a gender-malignant identity crisis, grasping onto her notebook of memories for that the future may hold

aka; rad

nicely 80s. soundtrackish. laidback and hopeful. listening to this, i can hear some of the stuff that went into revengineers tunes. (also: juno 106 is awesome. unite!)

thanks, thanks, and thanks!

this is just re-affirmation that you need to get heavy into analog synths

beautiful, man. great stuff.

Don't know what I could possibly add to that comment! Except that a feeling of almost-triumph and steadfast determination just drips from this piece - lovely work

80s reflection montage. Main character sitting on a dock leaning back watching seagulls fly over while the waves crash and splash up against rocks. When the song picks up the main character finally jumps into the ocean and just starts to swim. Emerges out of breath but laughing about how all the things that seemed to weigh him/her down at the beginning of the movie just wash away.

i'm really liking the imagery you guys are coming up with.

This really is cinematic.  I love the images it evokes.  Lots of reds, oranges, and yellows for me.  Definitely reflective, thoughtful, and emotionally charged.  It also has a finality to it.  The last part could be the ending to a movie or a pan up to the sky that shows the first black card of a bittersweet John Hughes-esque ending.

fantastic tune and an uplifting feeling going on here! Wow!
