Inside the Machine

The ending is sort of inspired by some of the stylings on the Descent II soundtrack. The project started entirely using atmospheric synths and grew from there, as challenged to do by my friend Brandon.

Wicked. I dig it.

Love the blend with the synth that enters around 1min. Such tasty, yet unlikely combination of instruments. Very interesting!

Very cool! I like all of the different textures here.

Awesome man, this is a cool one.  Love the drum beat, and that synth that comes in at around 1:00.  Also, what the hell is that sound that starts at 2:15 and goes till the end?  Its cool as hell, but I can figure out what it is.

Hey thanks! I'm glad you liked that. I only just realized I guess that instrument sounds kind of like one of those handpan drum things? haha. Happy accident!

Thanks for listening MC! I did my best to keep it changing up.

Thanks Chrisfoo. To answer your question it's a bazille bass synth that I put a high pass filter on and wrote a silly thing lol I do like how mechanical it sounds, like a drill or a motor trying to start, or even a klaxon.

Lot of stuff going on here! The staccato kicks are probably my favourite, I need to start using that technique. Love the ending!

I love the electric guitar-like drone from the start and I second @hieme on the staccato kick and the texture you used on that very mellow kick. There are a lot of cool sounds, I liked the bazille bass synths too, it had a very original sound.

Thanks for the listen, I'm glad I could bring something to the attention of your repertoire! (sp?) I think I first tried it only a few songs back lol, every other kick is just so slightly lower in volume on the double kick parts.

Thanks man I was happy I found that! I was using hardcore and turned off the delay and the chorus on 80s lead preset, iirc. I'm glad you liked the mellow kick, assuming you mean the bigger one that joins in on top of the staccato kicks later? smile
