When Eternity Ends

By Neil Carnegie on May 4, 2014 4:16 pm

Continuing with the ambient post-rock style I started with last week. Most of my entries use samples I have acquired over the years and VSTs. This week however I felt the need to properly record the guitar sections of the song since I don't think it's possible to replace that sound with some overly expensive VST.

It's been awhile since I tried recording a guitar part so it may not sound perfect. Given that I used the first attempts at the recordings rather than trying to re-record I think it turned out quite well.....but let me know your thoughts anyway

The guitar sounds great imho and I like the building drum part along with the bassy organ.  It reminded me a bit of Mogwai meets Explosions in the Sky.  Nice job! smile

This is really relaxing and pretty.  The part where the drums kick in provides some nice contrast without altering the mood too much.  Good job.

Love it!
