SAKEHANGOVER

Feeling trashed/down after a big couple of weeks. This one captures the mood.

M8 hip-hop, playing with off-grid beats. Gets a bit sloppy in places, but pretty happy with it.

Any feedback welcome smile

Captured perfectly. The stops and starts are great and when the beat kicks in again, it's like someone saying "Hey! Get back to work!". smile

feels like a lay-z-boy armchair set all the way back. i'm into it

Sloppy is *nice*. Sounds great!

Knew this was gonna be good from the title

Just the right amount of sloppy

Think my brain wanted more verb on the snare but I tend to be heavy handed

The funny thing about sloppy is, that's what a live performance brings, a natural feel. A missed beat, a wrong note, a slightly harder hit; things that make a song feel alive and hopefully you'll carry through exploring that.

Man, snares are hard. I feel like there's a really narrow band between not enough and too much, specially with reverb. I can see why you'd want more, but I kind of also like how it makes the snare feel up front and in-your face... doesn't match the other drums well though.

Yeah, for sure. This is all programmed, because the controller I was gonna use for it wasn't working at the time. I've got options now, so I'll be trying some played-in off-kilter stuff soon smile
