Some Kind of Place

By Nate on February 19, 2012 4:39 pm

First few hours in PxTone: a couple variations on a theme.  (there are some cracklies, oops)  If you have a moment to spare, let me know what it makes you think of!

that nice chord progression coupled with those mellow synths makes for a great track :3 fantastic work, really chilled me out

very beautiful tune, This track is really great man big_smile

well done! very relaxing and pretty
have you heard Lost Tracks by AGF?

i'll totally do a pxtone track for this week!

Great track, I really really like it.  I wish I could make my stuff sound this pretty.

love the ambience of it. very soothing. reminds me almost of a 'home town/love theme' type of song maybe a flash back...

This song is absolutely killing me.  I love it so much.

Quite nice.  I enjoy the mellow tones.

@zebra Thanks for the recommendation! I listened to Lost Tracks yesterday.  There's some really awesome stuff in there, and some great ideas for how to use PxTone.  I'm also listening to what I assume is some of your stuff from PiSTON SOURCE: very cool.

@Spaceman Now that you say that I can hear the hometown/musicbox flashback/love vibe.  I was probably subconsciously thinking about that feeling (e.g. Xenogears) while doing this, just because of the kind of sounds I'm getting out of PxTone.

@everyone Thanks so much for the great comments.  I was kind of disappointed in how this turned out, not being as full-bodied or dynamic as I had maybe imagined.  I don't know exactly what I was expecting from just a couple hours, but some of you are way too talented for your own good and crank the stuff out.  The feedback is really encouraging.  Again, looking forward to next week.
