SURRENDER

Back with a M8 montage, this one started with a sample, kick and 808 loop that my son made for me in Ableton. I remade the loop in the M8 and all signs were a go.  Surrendering to what is, is such a difficult thing for me. Wants and desires keep pulling me back into the material that often feels like a trap for the ego. Working on letting go and surrendering to what is, not focusing on what was or what might be.

Oh hell to the yeah, the groooooove heart

The sliding lead and the subsequent bass, and genre-bending this from instrumental hip hop to synthwavy psychedelia on top of that piano loop -- I can't believe it works at all, never mind how well and convincingly it works here.
