I Won't Wait

One Saturday night session. K. Quick and dirty one.

Been watching some docs/vids/interviews with Rick Rubin this week and finding it super interesting and pretty inspiring.

What went well:
- Trying something new. Nice to branch out a it and use a reverby clean guitar.
- Fun trying to sync up with feeling whilst recording. It's kinda like mindfulness exercise in the recording session. (I think Pharells convo with Rubin got me interested in this, he talks about how he is always seeing how he's feeling when listening to music, and thats just a part of listening to music for him)
- Found some new drummers/beats, will try
- Nice to improvise a bit with the soloing
- Started by watching a kinda guitar lesson youtube video and then getting an idea from that. Good to get a starting point from somewhere fresh
- Started my journal to collect words/lines/themes/ideas for lyrics/themes etc. Hoping this will serve me well as a kind of bank, or well.

Ideas for future:
- Work with the pad by my side. Makes it much more efficient. Was in a temp setup and didnt have this this time.
- Work in iterations. Skeleton. Bounce. Listen & take notes - make actions points. Make alterations. Listen & take notes. Etc. Hit milestones and then go back so as not to get lost in the minutae of editing.

Additional:
11 days til I hit the road. Would like to finish lyrics and and record vocals for a track, and get road setup ready in that time. Let's see how that goes.
