too much to say about this, so i'll just let it be yours. it's a sincere track and so i hope it hits you like a ton of bricks and makes you call your mom or hug your cats. y'know you could die at any moment, you don't know. i mean that, i'm not being edgy, i'm telling you the truth, no cap, like a dad.

made with flstudio, massive x (big rumbly sound + aggressive bus compressor), cs-80v (woodwind sound, god what synth), grandeur piano, session strings (i don't love these but they worked here). pumped into lots of verb (ya think?) and then light bus compression to glue the whole mix.

i wanted to do something where I came up with a simple motif and really try to roll it around until you squeeze out whatever its got. the phrase is, in F-major, F, Bb, A, C, F. jammed out with that all morning and then clipped out the good bits, and mashed it all together into a track. i love it when i think to do something and then actually sit down and work it out.

really love the last minute or so, such a great arrangement. I will go pet my cats now, because you're right, take nothing for granted.

Fantastic

This is very beautiful, though there's precious little of it.

like a spoonful of dessert lol

Such a big sound. 14351 is the new 42 I guess. Feels like a reflection on better days gone by.
