The Cage is Open

I was feeling as little soundtracky this week. Definitely a do something else while the music goes on and on type a track.

Atticus Ross inspiration partially baked into my music DNA, though that wasn't an inspiration when I started this.

Loving those background bells, they sound a little like windchimes. How did you make those? Granular?
The bass pulse also somehow sounds super organic. Perhaps breaking up the pattern a little more might make it seem a little less repeptitive and help it blend into the background when used for a soundtrack, some polymetric action or something. But the sound palette and composition are there and really nice!

Being so understated makes it work so well.  The melody is working, as is the relentless beat, and the windchimes.  As LeBernd suggests, there's room in there for more too.

Roli's "Le Sceau de Dragon" preset in Equator 2, lots of delay pluck sample module, even more delay on the granular glockenspiel module, and a cutoff on the primary instrument so all you hear is the bells. So I didn't have much control, but it worked out. I love bells and chimes and there aren't enough good bells and chimes!

Thank you! Yeah I need to work on my composition. I'm too slow to get something dynamic done in a week. Sometimes I wish this were biweekly beats hmm
