Self Sufficiency Parameters Exceeded

By Mulkaccino on March 15, 2026 10:27 pm

I've been looking for work and just been feeling like we should talk more about human capacity and capability and less about AI capacity and capability. But powerful people are boring and just want anything else but humans, it seems. So I wrote a messy song. A short novel is a novella. Is a short song a songella?

I saw Nine Inch Nails in concert and have been listening mid 00's Saul Williams. I've also been listening to SbassBear remixing cringe Game Grumps songs masterfully. Laugh out loud funny stuff, especially if you watch the videos. I'm not sure how much any of those have influenced this weeks style.

I finally have all my gear back up and running, and have added my weighted keyboard to my list of midi controllers. I have another piece of gear I'm plugging inand then I'm done adding to the studio for awhile. At some point I'll have to go back to the corporate grind to earn some cash, at least temporarily, and that's just a really heavy feeling. But hey, maybe 2-3 AIs can do my job and earn the CTO an extra 0.2% more on their paycheck.

Whatever. Self Sufficiency Parameters have been exceeded. Music is endless.

The low rumble thunder bass background + deep kicks + ...sample of an industrial machine of some kind?!? = such a mood! and then the light piano and the melody give it a reflective quality. it's like if Four Tet had a deep, dark, piano laden EP. anywho this songella is badassella. and i hear you about the grind..."music is endless" is the best retort to all of the heavy things.

eoe.vibin told me about this track and it's dope! (favorited!) Love the drum groove and the industrial elements. There's a real nice contrast between the harsh, dark industrial elements and the softness of the piano. The piano chords going more dissonant/minor in the latter half is a really nice evolution.

Definitely can relate to the job hunt grind/AI BS (I was there last year). It's rough out here. Hope you're getting some time in for self care in the slog heart

Twice the First Time was an old favorite of mine. Love me some Saul Williams.

Love the arpeggiating piano notes and the staccato chord pulses in this!

This is a great track, you really captured the coldness that I feel when I think / talk about AI and work and all. I can relate heavily, I'm hugely unstoked about AI and how it's impacting my work.
