This week I was working on a weird lighter track and a dark acid/techno track. I ended up going with the lighter track, and played with it a bunch, trying to get a sound I liked out of it. It feels a bit basic, and similar to some of my other light sparkly tracks. The drums are not super interesting, and probably could have been messed with a bit more. I also played with some vocal samples and a sample I grabbed while I was playing with ORCA and some Arturia VSTs a few weeks ago (definitely want to use that tool more in a future track). Even though this is another kind of meh track, any feedback is greatly appreciated!

The title this week is the Esperanto word for "know," playing off of the vocal samples I used throughout the track.

The photo is a random picture I took while cycling through the Philly suburbs last weekend.

The vocal samples are honestly great and make this track quite interesting and the overall sound design is really nice. I enjoyed the relaxed vibe and also feel that the "not super interesting" drums worked rather well, as they underline the relaxed, almost hypnotic vibe of the track

Thank you! I did feel like the vocal samples helped pull the track together.

Fav'd!!

It's alright. I did figured if you were to use vocal samples, they'd be in Esperanto.
It does feel a bit samey somehow. I'm blaming the treble arp, competing with the vocals for attention, not leaving attention for anything else, like everything else might as well not be there if that makes sense.

I may generate Esperanto samples in the future; I mostly use vocal packs or clips from movies/shows. That is a good idea, I should try to use festival with some Esperanto lyrics for a future track.

I can hear the competing parts. I kinda blame my mixing, but also there could have been more variation and worked on dynamics a bit 😬
